Activating the Function
The kind of encoder emulation including its activation is determined via
bit 0 and bit 1 in parameter P-0-0902, Encoder emulation control
parameter.
P-0-0902, bit 1,0:
• "00" → no encoder emulation activated
• "01" → incremental encoder emulation (IGS) activated
• "10" → absolute encoder emulation (SSI) activated
Note:
The settings in parameter P-0-0902 only take effect after
progression to the operating mode!

control parameter"
Selecting the Signal to be Emulated
The input of the signals that the drive supports for emulation is depending
on the following factors:
• firmware version and enabled functional packages
• hardware of the control section and its configuration
Note:
The emulation signals currently supported by the drive are
contained in the list parameter P-0-0900, Encoder emulation
signal selection list.
The following signals are available as a maximum:
• real encoder signals
• position feedback 1 value (S-0-0051)
• position feedback 2 value (S-0-0053)
nd
→ requires 2
encoder!
• actual position value of measuring encoder (P-0-0052)
nd
→ requires 2
or 3
