    Power Management Modes If you have VESA’s DPM-compliant video card or software installed in your PC, the monitor can automatically reduce its power consumption when not in use. This is referred to as power save mode*. If the computer detects input from the keyboard, mouse, or other input devices, the monitor automatically resumes functioning.

Self-Test Your monitor provides a self-test feature that allows you to check whether your monitor is functioning properly. If your monitor and computer are properly connected but the monitor screen remains dark, run the monitor self-test by performing the following steps: Turn off both your computer and the monitor.
