MODEL 610 CONNECT PROBE AND TRANSFORMER TO CONTROLLER Plug the 9 Volt AC Transformer into proper AC outlet. It is imperative, for safe and stable operation, that the controller be connected to a properly grounded AC outlet. Unfortunately, some of the three (3) prong outlets are not properly grounded. Check to make sure that the outlet to be used is connected to a known ground BEFORE plugging in the AC power cord.

MODEL 610 TESTING THE CONTROLLER & CHARGING THE BATTERY This unit comes complete with three (3) nickel cadium batteries and 9V AC power adapter for battery charging, eliminating the need to ever buy, or replace batteries. Under normal operating conditions, the batteries require charging once a month.
MODEL 610 CALIBRATING LOW LEVEL ALARM • Submerge the Probe in liquid nitrogen (LN ) for 10 minutes. • Press the battery “On/Off-Cal” toggle switch downward and hold. • Use the screwdriver (supplied) turn the adjuster clockwise or counter-clockwise until the tone begins to sound. Slowly turn the adjuster until the tone sound just disappears.
